Hydraulic upsetting machine is mainly used for processing drill pipe, drill collar and other similar workpiece. Hydraulic upsetter press has three hydraulic cylinders. Upsetting hydraulic cylinder of upsetting machine is the largest of the three hydraulic cylinders.

Upsetting hydraulic cylinder of upsetter press is behind the hydraulic upsetting machine. Upsetting hydraulic cylinder of hydraulic pipe upsetting machine drives the punch of upsetter press to upset the heated end of pipe.

Hydraulic upsetting machine has matching cooling system to keep working temperature. The hydraulic cylinder of upsetting machine, the hydraulic station of upsetting machine, the inductor of hydraulic upsetting machine, and the mould of hydraulic upsetting machine all needs to keep in working temperature.

High temperature could damage the seal ring, which makes the tightness of hydraulic upsetting machine’s hydraulic cylinder worse. The poor sealing of upsetting machine’s hydraulic cylinder will lead to insufficient squeeze force. If the upsetting hydraulic cylinder of upsetter press has not enough upsetting force, the quality of workpiece will be unacceptable. If clamping hydraulic cylinder of upsetting machine does not have enough extrusion pressure, it will cause the mould of upsetter machine’s tightness to decline. The mould of upsetting machine ‘seal is not so tight that the processed workpiece has flashes.
